This session will share with conference participants (Family to Family Health Information Center and Parent Center grantees) the Maternal Child Health Bureau’s strategic plan and how it complements the CYSHCN Blueprint for Change. Dr. Brosco will provide a general overview of the CYSHCN Blueprint for Change. Ms. Cara Coleman will provide an overview of her article within the article series for Blueprint for Change on Quality of Life and Well-Being for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs and their Families: A Vision for the Future. Ms. Coleman will tie her overview to previous presentations and stress how families play a key role in moving the work of the Blueprint forward.

Simultaneously navigating, learning disabilities, poverty and delinquency Hasan seemed destined to become another statistic. But, Hasan was lucky to find that on his journey there were champions, like his mother and alternative school teacher, who found ways to engage, encourage and empower him.
