Intersectionality: From Theory to Practice

Session 9

We invite participants to learn with us as we explore why intersectionality matters for everyone. Together, we will dive into how we can utilize each other’s strengths and differences to further our causes and deepen our relationships. This presentation aims to first illustrate the theory and define its most fundamental ideas, and then offer examples of how these principles guide the work our two organizations carry forward. Audience members will gain a new appreciation for anti-racist and non-discriminatory practice, and a way to take social theory from theory into practice.
